The 3100 has its four cores arranged in a 2+2 setup, whereas the 3300X uses a 4+0 layout. If you decide to upgrade later, that difference might matter.
It's actually fine with FCLK, and the imc is quite good, so the extra delay isn't too much of an issue.
Two dual-core processors paired with a transceiver were available, unlike the Q6600 which lacked this feature!
Consider purchasing immediately. CPU quality isn't crucial for gaming unless you have a decent one. A fresh GPU lineup will boost your FPS significantly.
