3300x or 1600AF?
3300x or 1600AF?
Hey there! Just checking in—how are everyone doing? I’m trying to figure out which CPU works better for video editing and light gaming: the Ryzen 3 3300X or the Ryzen 5 1600AF. I know the latter has more cores and threads, but from what benchmarks I’ve seen, the 3300X often shines in certain situations. I’m planning to pair it with an RTX 2060. Also, just confirming, is this the 1600AF model you’re referring to?
CPU limitations will appear in both scenarios, yet the updated design of the 3300x offers a clear advantage for single-thread tasks. Video processing demands faster speeds—higher clocks are essential. I might add more components to reach the 3600. The GPU will require this upgrade.
The 3300X will see about 25% improvement in single-threaded tasks such as games, whereas the 1600AF will gain roughly 10% speed for multi-threaded workloads. For more details, check the benchmark at https://www.cpu-monkey.com/en/compare_cp...3300x-1345
