I was thinking about the purchase of a 16GB 3200mhz Cosair Vengance RAM for my MSI X370 SLI PLUS. The motherboard includes some software, and one of them is the MSI control centre. When I opened it and checked the DRAM settings, it showed 2133mhz instead of the expected 3200mhz. Should I manually adjust the settings in my BIOS or will it automatically overclock itself?

Have you checked for the newest BIOS? Early Ryzen motherboards faced memory problems, but updates have resolved them. It's probable your system still has an issue.

Also verify that your RAM model matches the one listed here

Anything above the base clock of 2133mhz is seen as "overclocked". The RAM you possess is only designed to be overclocked up to 3200mhz. You must adjust this in the BIOS, either by entering the settings directly or enabling XMP in the BIOS (or DOCP as with my Crosshair VI).

I checked my BIOS, turned on XMP at 3200mhz, but the system kept failing to boot and reset to defaults. When I switched XMP to AUTO, it worked, though MSI software still showed a frequency of 2133mhz.

Have you checked for BIOS updates? Ryzen motherboards experienced many memory problems initially, but these have been resolved with updates. It's probable your system is facing a similar issue.
Also, verify that the precise RAM model matches the list provided.
