I assembled a new PC for my dad, but the RAM won’t run at higher speeds. The BIOS has DDR4 3200MHz enabled with the profile, yet it still lists 2133MHz after reboot. I checked the motherboard specs—it supports DDR4 and 3200MHz, and the RAM is installed in channels 1 and 3 (b1 & a1). I updated the BIOS to the latest version, but the problem persists. Any advice?

These aren't channels; they're slots. Make sure your motherboard has four slots and place them in slots 2 and 4. Reattempt with the RAM in the right slot and check if it functions.

On slots A2 and B2, the optimized settings are applied. You should check the frequency display on the BIOS screen for JEDEC values there. It’s possible your system is running at 3200MT/s, which might explain the discrepancy. Consider other adjustments before proceeding.

Need the part number along with the engine speed or CPU details.

The BIOS on this motherboard displays "Ram always shows at jdec speeds" in Windows.

I’m preparing to add holoiso for a steam setup and will ensure no windows are visible. I’m currently downloading the ISO file now, so I’ll confirm everything is set once it’s installed.

I figured that too. Not having OS installed means I can run an ISO and verify everything before starting.

From bios, it's helpful to know we'll explore further.

It seems the frequency remains at 2133Mhz, and slots 2 and 4 will need to open the terminal to check speeds after installing Steam OS.
