Hello, just confirming the CPU speed after setting up G SKill with 3200 MHz RAM (DOCP enabled). I noticed the reported MHz seems a bit lower than expected. Is this typical?

In short: DDR stands for dual data rate, and the clock speed is measured in hertz, which equals ticks per operation. The chip runs at 1600MHz, but it processes two operations each tick, leading manufacturers to label it as 3200MHz. In reality, it handles 3200 MT/s, which explains why CPU-Z displays around 1600MHz.

I understand the confusion about the frequency value. It seems there might be a discrepancy in the number displayed. Would you like me to clarify what 1600MHz should represent?

I didn't note that either, so I went with the typical answer about DDR speeds. Based on what I've seen, CPU-Z usually displays 3200MHz, which seems standard.

Your BCLK speed isn't exactly 100MHz; it's closer to 99.8MHz due to less precise clock generation.

I think your BCLK value is close to 100, while mine tends to be around 99.8.
