You're considering two Ryzen options for your build: the 3200G and the 3400G. The 3200G uses Vega 8 graphics, while the 3400G features Vega 11. For your use case—primarily Minecraft, video editing at 1080p, photo editing, and occasional Photoshop—both should work well. The 3400G offers better performance with its newer graphics, but it’s $60 more. Unless you plan to run demanding games or 4K content regularly, the 3200G should suffice and save you some money. The extra power supply and SSD are solid choices too.

Working with 1080P videos and using Photoshop apps is part of my routine. I’d be willing to spend an additional $60 for the 3400G.

It’s a more powerful CPU and GPU setup, which definitely improves performance. The exact improvement over the 3200G isn’t specified, but the components are clearly upgraded for better speed and efficiency.

You mentioned it yourself already. It’s a better CPU and iGPU. I built my setup with a Ryzen 3 3200G to hold off on the Ryzen 4000 until then. At least until the RTX 3000 and Ryzen 4000 come out, I’ll just play some old AAA games from 2013 or earlier for a bit of fun.

It’s about seeking the optimal performance, whether it’s faster clock speeds or stronger GPU capabilities. You’re looking for a CPU that delivers solid results without overcomplicating things—just understanding why one option stands out compared to another. When Einstein pops in and starts breaking down specs and relative efficiency, it highlights how these factors truly matter.

It’s simpler this way, even though I don’t have to be perfect right away. I’m hoping the 3200g will work as expected, or maybe I’ll need the heavier 3400g instead.

Check out the parts list on PCPP's site and let me know your country. I understand you're focused on the CPU, but the RAM might not be worth it given its price, and the PSU could be a less secure option. We should aim for a solution that works well without major compromises.

It offers increased boost clocks and double the threads, making it ideal for editing 1080p videos. You might also consider purchasing a Ryzen 3 3100 with an RX 550 and CMIIW for better performance.

Check the link provided for recommendations. Consider swapping parts for better value—cheaper RAM and a nicer PSU would help without much price change. The DKQ7q3 didn’t significantly alter the cost. I’d suggest adding an R3 as well. While some might say Vega 11 is worth it, it doesn’t replace a GPU. Vega 11 matches performance of a GTX 750 or GT 1030. For around $60, you can find a superior GPU used elsewhere.
