I really had no idea which section of this forum to submit this to.
Last March, my friend and I decided to switch from Xbox to PC.
Occasionally in the game, I lower the FPS to 30 to check if it makes a noticeable difference compared to the usual 90-120 frames per second.
The problem is, when I set the frame rate to 30 on PC, the game becomes very poor.
Although I’ve owned an Xbox for many years and it never looked that bad before, this change really affected performance.
I don’t have an Xbox anymore, so I can’t test it directly, but I’m wondering if lowering the framerate in the game is enough to compare fairly.
If my current approach is sufficient, then maybe I need to rethink this test.

Console games are built to operate at 30fps, which makes them smoother compared to PC games that typically aim for 60fps or higher.

It's somewhat unfair, yet console titles are expected to reach 60 fps soon. Consider retrying your test once the industry adopts this standard.

Have you adjusted the motion blur to the maximum level of 11?

Did you secure the frame rate or also reduce the refresh rate of the screen? You should have the refresh rate matching the monitor's capabilities. Also, motion blur needs to be enabled. With these settings, it should resemble a console.

I've used 25 frames per second on a PC. It resembles a console at 30hz, except I often dropped to 15-18fps.

It relies on the computer's specifications; a low frame rate indicates a faulty GPU.

I use a 1080ti and it handles all games smoothly.
People mentioned it's mainly due to optimization.
