SPECS: GPU- FE3080 CPU- 7800x3D motherboard- B650M Pro RS RAM- Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 power supply- EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 OS- Windows 11 I experienced this problem only recently. After launching and starting a game, all my monitors went off and the GPU fans became very loud. The computer works normally once it’s turned off, but I see these warnings in Event Viewer: (This warning appears when the issue starts) "The driver DriverWUFDR failed to load. Device: ROOT\DISPLAY\0000 Status: 0xC0000365" (This warning happens when screens disconnect) "The info for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm isn’t available. It could be the part causing this isn’t installed or the setup is damaged. You can reinstall or fix the part locally. If it happened on another machine, the display data must have been saved with the event. The details included: Device 00000114 CMDRE 00000001 00003ffc ffffffff 00000007 00ffffff The message is present but not found in the table" Troubleshooting attempts made so far- Updated display drivers, restored system health and performed a Windows memory check (no issues detected) Thank you for your assistance! I really wish my GPU would stay alive. EDIT: After testing, I ran Prime95 with large FFT overnight, used DDU in safe mode to reinstall fresh NVIDIA drivers (581.08), updated to 581.15 but still had the issue, completed a FurMark GPU stress test without problems, ran an OCCT Power test for PSU reliability, upgraded chipset, and reverted to older NVIDIA drivers 552.22 (using DDU to remove current drivers).
Various factors could be involved. Issues might include a loose display cable, a faulty port on your GPU (consider using another port), or a PCI riser if present. It could also relate to unstable overclocking or a failing GPU. Start by removing the display port as a potential solution. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, test with an HDMI connection. If problems persist with HDMI too, it may point to your GPU or riser.
Thank you for your response. Your setup has three displays linked to the GPU—two DP units and one HDMI—and they all disconnect simultaneously. You don’t have a PCI riser, and the GPU is running at its default clock speeds. This problem appears only during brief gaming sessions (mostly once on desktop).
Output cables wont cause driver issues, its not a cable issue. Most likely stability issue, if you had the card since it was released 5 years ago, then its overheating or somehow unstable the moment you launch a game (meaning there is a good chance that it might be broken). Windows Memory Diagnostics tool is worthless. Use something like Prime95 Large FFT test overnight if you want to actually test your RAMs. Which I also think should be your first test. As far as testing your graphics card, start by monitoring temperatures with hwinfo (select sensors only when you launch the app) first on desktop and in games where your driver doesnt crash if there are any.
A broken DisplayPort connection may lead to black screens, repeated power-on cycles, and driver resets. If link training or HPD continues to fail, the display stack can freeze and Windows may reinstall the NVIDIA driver (this is TDR). Event ID 14 from nvlddmkm often appears as a related issue. It’s likely one of the three display connections is responsible for the problem. A relevant discussion on Nvidia developer forums covers a similar situation: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/dp.../170627/12
I started the game I suspected caused the problem and monitored my temperatures using HWInfo. Temperatures rose steadily for about five minutes, and once my GPU reached 82.9°C all displays stopped working. HWInfo indicated throttling would begin at 83°C. I checked again at 82.9°C and reloaded the game, but it failed to restart properly. Within a few seconds after loading, all displays disconnected (around 50°C), suggesting not an overheating issue. I plan to run a more thorough memory test tonight.
System RAM, GPU is probably fine.. could probably use a repaste I am sure, given its age. But I have an EVGA 3070Ti that never gets turned off unless its for maintenance and still on the stock paste and pads.. also stock speed lol.. Corsair has an abysmal track record on the forums with AMD.
