No, that setup isn't practical. A Xeon X5680 and an X58 motherboard together won't deliver a functional gaming PC at such low prices. Look for better components to ensure performance and reliability.

I’m currently using an x5670 on a X58 board myself. If you don’t own the board yet, it might not be worth the effort. I think those AliExpress boards aren’t reliable for overclocking, which is why older Xeons remain valuable despite that.

It really shouldn't be set up that way. I'd only think about it if I could push it further, but you'll need a solid board and a reliable power supply. Those Xeons can handle the strain, though I've seen PSUs fail easily on my X58 setup. Overclocking is fine, but if you're on a budget, consider sticking to the third generation Intel and upgrade later.
