I recently acquired a set of Cooler Master ARGB fans, but I wasn’t familiar with the two different RGB connector types. The fans connect via 3-pin ARGB, while my motherboard only has 4-pin RGB ports. Can I still activate them? Their specifications include: Ryzen 5 2600 ASUS Strix B450-F 2x8GB Trident Z RGB @3600mhz, GTX 1060, and 3GB EVGA BR with 500W power.

The connectors should include a 3pin to 4pin adapter, though I'm not entirely confident about that. You can find it on Amazon for the specified link.

It functions well with that setup. I’ve learned that 12V can affect the fans, but it doesn’t cause any issues for me. I also use this approach for my water pump, and it operates at full capacity—no problem there.

Are there any adapters or controllers that could be compatible?

I almost used the same adapter you connected. You might want to test it out. Remember, the 12V could damage your fans over time.

The 12-volt connector will immediately disable the 5V RGB unit.
