Changing all your RAM slots might affect how your PC performs, depending on the configuration and compatibility.
For this scenario, opt for 2x8GB. Even if a 4x4GB option exists, it’s better to start with the larger capacity now. This way, when you eventually upgrade to 32GB, you won’t need to replace all your existing drives and avoid the trouble of selling old ones. With 4x4GB, you’d have to purchase new drives for each upgrade, making it less convenient.
First generation Ryzen faces issues with four dimms. Consider upgrading to 2x8GB or 2x16GB.
For my Ryzen builds I always choose Crucial. The Crucial Ballistix BL2K16G32C16U4B works well with first-generation Ryzen.
I believe a 2x8GB version would be better, as I don’t want 32GB of RAM.
