In my view, with 4x8GB RAM at 3200Mhz you get a total bandwidth of about 12.8Gbps. If you have 2x16GB at the same speed, it becomes roughly 6.4Gbps. So 4x8GB seems more efficient unless you intend to upgrade later. This is just my estimation. Would love feedback if you can confirm.
