Hi guys. This post covers two main topics: ram oc and a question about cpu temperatures and pbo settings.

System details: I'm using a 2700x board with CHVII BIOS (latest version 1201) and KrakenX62. I usually run at 3400 with tighter timings or 3200 with even tighter speeds, but even with stock settings, I can't get the system to reach 3466 MHz. I'm not sure if this is normal or if my build is failing.

CPU notes: Should I keep pbo enabled or turn it off? During gaming (like in F1), I see temps go up to 76 and clock stability drops to around 4.2-4.2x. With pbo on auto, temperatures are lower, around 55-65 at 4.175.

It seems like either of those temperatures works. I'm a bit surprised that the system boots at 3400 even though it's not very reliable.
Everything appears to be in order, as far as I can tell.

What you're observing is identical to my own situation. The voltage and temperatures for OC don't justify the minimal gains in FPS. The sole factor that demonstrated genuine progress was synthetic benchmarks.

The changes made were minimal, with no significant improvements at the expense of a 10 °C increase. @Supahos Ram has seen better performance with the latest bios updates; when I purchased the system in June, it didn't post at 3400. I was mainly checking how much more efficiency I could get from my 2700x without reaching very high temperatures.
