What CPU do you think offers the best value right now? The 2700X has two extra cores and four more threads, but switching to something like the Ryzen 3600 could be better because it uses less power, fits in a smaller package, and handles less heat. You’re giving up two cores and four threads, but if your budget lets you choose either option, it might work for you.

The additional cores and threads are beneficial mainly for tasks that require heavy multithreading, such as rendering. For gaming, a more efficient design on the 3600 model is preferable.

These chips come with no room for further speed increases—they’re already optimized at their highest setting. You can adjust SenseMi settings for better performance, but the base performance is fixed.
