2500k cpu, Asus P8h61-m le/csm motherboard does not allow overclocking.
I've tried to increase my 2500k's clock speed but haven't succeeded. The issue seems to occur when using a turbo ratio higher than 33, as the system resets it back to 33 after restarting. Could you assist? Also, I'm exploring BIOS options for a simpler solution. Thanks in advance.
I used to have a 2500K, but I don't believe it has MB support for anything beyond overclocking, which won't work.
H61 does not allow CPU overclocking.
OC requires the Z68 or Z77 chipset motherboard.
Sorry, this chipset won't allow overclocking. You'll need a Z-chipset motherboard. A Z68 or Z77 should work well with that CPU model. You might be able to increase the base clock slightly, but going much higher can cause issues, especially on the PCIe bus. The board itself isn't ideal for this kind of performance.
