Looking for a budget-friendly switch with enough ports for at least three 2.5G connections. I need to upgrade between my NAS, virtualization server, and editing rig. Most options I found cost over $400, which is too much. I’m hoping to find something under $200. If none are available, I might connect two devices directly to the NAS. Let me know if anyone has suggestions.

I'll connect directly. Alternatively, you can use a more affordable 10G switch such as MikroTik and add some 10G base transceivers.

The Mikrotik model also supports mGig receivers when you already have 2.5 Gbps NICs. They shared this product here: https://mikrotik.com/product/crs305_1g_4s_in, which seems to match your needs.

In the documentation it mentions support for only two modules because of power limitations, which could be a less ideal option.

Great shot! I'll continue monitoring. Could end up connecting them right away. Appreciate the heads-up on that one.
