21H2 and Intune leading to the disappearance of the Microsoft Store.
Hello all, this might be too specific a topic for here, but I might as well try. So we have a fleet of HP Dragonfly G1 and G2 that have an issue where the Microsoft store is disappearing after a 21H2 update. Below is what we learned and what we've tried thus far: We learned it happens when we systemreset an intuned a 21h2 machine, then White glove it, it removed the Windows store We are unable to revert back to 21H1 when this happens, before or after. We have blocked 21H2 from happening on all devices since we discovered this We have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Store via Powershell, and removing and re-adding all Windows package apps and reinstalling them. We have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Microsoft store service and a variety of different orders of the last step and this one. We have wiped Windows off the machine and re-installed it and it still happens. We have removed the device from Intune and re-added it and it still does it. We have tried installing the MS Store from the web version of the MS Store. Any thoughts would be helpful
We spent several days addressing the issue, and the main solution was updating the impacted devices with our Windows image, ensuring they were current, followed by a system reset and recalibration. The problem wasn't limited to missing software; some machines also lacked essential system applications such as a calculator.
