I'm having trouble with Far Cry 4 on my Ultrawide screen. When I set it to 1920x1080, the black bars disappear but the image appears stretched and looks poor.

Certain games aren't tuned for 21:9 screen size. Limited options exist—look into the game settings to see if adjustments are available.

Check for .ini or comparable configuration files. It might be necessary to stick closely with the FoV to ensure it appears "non-god-awfully" narrow.

It identifies it and I can adjust the res to my preferred setting, but there are still black bars. None of my other games have this issue, and I managed to get it to full screen once, but that's about it.

He likely adjusted the resolution to 1920x1080, as suggested in the game menu. If there were options like 2560x1080 or 3440x1440, he probably checked them (hopefully).
