2133 DDR4 Ram overclock Ryzen?

I had an i7 7700k but the water block leaked, which destroyed the CPU and motherboard. Since I couldn't afford a new one, I upgraded with a Ryzen 1600 and a B350 motherboard. I know Ryzen prefers fast RAM, but after checking current prices, it seems new RAM is expensive. Can my 2133MHz RAM be overclocked to around 3000 or slightly lower? I understand DDR4 can handle up to 1.35GHz safely.

Probably not, particularly on a Ryzen setup. Ryzen remains selective about memory configurations. DDR4 2133 represents the minimum available and is unlikely to be sourced from premium modules capable of overclocking. Check the part number on this list: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/62...ion_eg_on/. If it appears, you can verify the expected performance in your Ryzen system with the current BIOS version.

You're allowed, though it's extremely time-consuming to caution you. Just skim through a lot of information about memory overclocking—it's quite different from CPU overclocking.

What is the maximum voltage a Ryzen processor can safely use for DDR4 RAM? I understand Intel XMP supports up to 1.5V, but I'm unsure if 1.4V is reliable.
