Using the USB stick to reinstall Windows 10 version 20H2 is the best approach. I need to add a professional license since the system must connect to our network. The PID.txt and EI.cfg methods aren’t effective against the home key embedded in the laptop’s motherboard. Formatting and reinstalling Windows is faster than applying updates or wiping personal data from the old user account. I have the pro key, and it was already activated before the format.

Simply install Pro and then apply a Pro key; if it still won’t work, add a Pro key afterward and it will automatically upgrade.
