Hello, I own a 2021 ASUS ROG ZEPHRUS G15 GA503Q (3070 model, Ryzen 9 5900HS Grey, 16GB RAM). My fans frequently spin up to maximum speed without any apparent cause. There’s nothing happening in the background; Armory Crate shows low temperatures for both CPU and GPU (40°C or below), but the fans keep running at full speed regardless. No heavy workloads appear in Task Manager—just idle time. The only useful info is that ASUS’ My ASUS software displays actual temps under 40°C, then jumps to around 38-112°C briefly before returning. This behavior repeats in MyASUS. Armory Crate seems to report the correct low readings. I’ve heard some QC problems with this model when it launched. My friend who suggested it had to return his first unit due to issues. My dad has one for his office, which shares the same fan problem—possibly more severe. The only solution I’ve tried is powering off and restarting; sometimes it resolves the issue instantly. I’ve reinstalled Windows 10 multiple times, removed MyASUS software, done fresh installs of Armory Crate, but nothing changes. If anyone knows a fix or if we should file an RMA for these two units, please let me know. Thanks in advance. -Bourdaga

I would initiate an RMA when the issue persists over time and isn't consistently fixed on your own.

I messed up the motherboard R2 for Best Buy, had to return it twice. After the second try, they fixed the fan and repaired the speakers. The R2 motherboard worked now. I sent it back a third time to fix the screen with a bright spot, which I noticed after getting it back the second time.
