My recent mini from late 2014 has lost Ethernet functionality. It displays "connected" but fails to link to websites. I purchased two USB RJ45 adapters that work on my phones, yet they still don’t establish a connection on the mini. My concern is there might be a hardware issue on the motherboard—sometimes it connects briefly in cold weather before dropping off. My question: Would a Thunderbolt 2 adapter function similarly? It should also show "connected" but not work with RJ45. Also, I’ve replaced the Ethernet cable with a CAT 8 fiber, yet performance remains unchanged. Additionally, I switched the modem recently. Could the fiber box be interfering with the connection?
