You have two devices in separate rooms, each linked to an Ethernet switch that connects to a router port. Their download speeds differ—78 Mbps and 20 Mbps—while upload speeds are the same. To balance the internet performance, you may need to adjust settings on both devices or configure your router to distribute traffic more evenly. Consider checking your router’s configuration options for QoS settings or bandwidth sharing, and ensure both devices are using the same upload speed if possible.

Are you connecting with an actual switch? Is the whole network operating at gigabit speed? A gigabit switch paired with Cat 5e or higher cable seems likely, especially if the connection is only 100Mbps. It probably points to either the switch or the cable from the switch to the router.

If it stops working during a single use, the switch is likely faulty. Adjust the ports on the switch.
