If there are four dimmers, place them in slots two and four; it will still support 16 gigabytes. If the board supports two dimmers, it doesn’t affect the result. If you have four dimmers and you have four adapters, it doesn’t change anything.

for boards with four slots or more, installing one slot apart is recommended. if your board has two slots, each channel should have two slots. it’s safe to assume one slot per channel. this setup will work fine—just plug it in.
