I reviewed both cables and didn’t see any mention of type 3 near the PSU-side connector. Could you share the location where it was written? It’s possible you might have missed it.

okay thank you if I decide to get another 8 pin to 4+4 CPU pin cable ill definitely get it from here instead but since I already got this cable and both of you said its fine ill just continue with it.

Yes, seems it is less common than I was aware of. The only cables I have here with that mark on it, is from an individually sleeved Corsair upgrade cable kit. So you have to use any compatibility listing. And that Amazon cable says all RM models.
