My setup was: CPU i3-7100, 16GB RAM (two 8GB modules), and a GTX 1060 GPU. Initially, I had 8GB of RAM, but later upgraded. After watching the video, I checked my RAM and found one module is a 1Rx16 while the other is 1Rx8. Both are 2133MHz and work in dual-channel. My main worry is whether the 1Rx16 module is slowing down the 1Rx8 one, and by how much. I understand these are 2133MHz RAM sticks, and my i3-7100 might already be a bottleneck for the 1060. It was the best configuration I could manage at the time. Given all this, if the 1Rx16 is indeed limiting the performance of the 1Rx8, the impact will be more noticeable because of the existing CPU limitation. This question is pretty specific, so an exact answer isn’t clear, but I’m hoping to find out what to expect after testing. Thanks for understanding.
