1Modem 2Router
1Modem 2Router
I linked my primary router to the modem, and the second router is connected via Ethernet to the first router. Both are functioning properly, but I’m experiencing issues where my main router loses connection. Wireless devices tied to the main router become unstable or slow when the second router consumes a lot of bandwidth. Is there a solution to resolve this?
I use two routers for redundancy and reliability. They help ensure continuous internet access even if one fails. As for the models, I don’t have specific details yet, but you can check your setup or ask for more info.
What model numbers do your modem and routers have? The two routers you’re using share similar specifications, but it’s unusual for a wired connection to affect the first one’s wireless performance. It seems more likely the devices are interfering with each other, possibly due to overlapping signals.
