1700x compared to 3600x in size or dimensions
2700x might work better but it's still limited; using more cores could help with streaming.
You might also evaluate the stream quality against hardware encoding by the GPU, and the boost in single-threaded speed is essentially the core of this improvement.
Even the 1700x streams look better than my 1070. However, I'm starting to notice early Ryzen issues in games—microstutter and similar problems. I thought the third series might improve IPC enough to make a 3600x performance boost over the 2700x. Still unsure how the lower core count affects the stream quality.
For a project with 4/8 threads or fewer, streaming should run smoothly and you’ll likely see improved results. If you’re using all threads, consider reducing the percentage on the stream or game settings by about 5-10%. Alternatively, manually allocate threads to achieve optimal performance. Your 33% more threads with less than a 10% performance drop across multiple cores is ideal. The 3600x will perform best if it heavily utilizes AVX instructions.
