Hey everyone! Looking for quality RGB RAM from GSKill. So far I’ve checked:
- MindFactory Trident-Z RGB DDR4 16GB
- MindFactory Trident-Z RGB DDR4 32GB

I’m not entirely confident about that. The main point is that memory speeds vary—14 and 16 aren’t fixed numbers; they’re represented by specific codes like 14-xx-xx-xx or 16-xx-xx-xx, and the exact configuration matters.

For a 32gb build, go with that option—it’s more affordable. If you’re focused on maximizing performance, the 16gb kit is better since you can tweak timings and push it to 3600mhz.
16gb should suffice most of the time, but I left Chrome running overnight and it consumed around 9gb by morning. Some games actually deliver higher frame rates when you're using less than half of your RAM—like BFV and Modern Warfare. If you really optimize the settings on the CL14 kit, you can likely compensate for that difference. For long-term use beyond three years, 32gb seems reasonable, and there are also CL14-compatible 32gb options available.
