Consider using both the two 16GB sticks together for better performance.

It depends on the amount of RAM required. I usually don't exceed 16GB.

Using four memory sticks is harder for the CPU's integrated memory controller to run. It may not be able to run at full XMP speed. If you already have the RAM and it works, nothing to worry about. If it doesn't want to run at full speed, then you need to decide whether capacity is more important for you than speed.

Continuing to 4 keeps them in dual rank, which means even with a slight reduction in speed you can compensate, and you might increase the voltage a bit more and the drive voltage slightly to achieve stability.

I mainly require it for DCS and a few other titles that need a page file since RAM isn't sufficient. I haven’t purchased the new system yet, so if all sticks run at 3200 MHz would there be any compatibility problems with two 8GB units and two 16GB units? I’d like to use the existing 16GB stick if possible and reach a total of 48GB instead of 32GB. @Eigenvektor @leclod @Ebony Falcon

When speed and latency match, they should function well together, though combining different options can be risky. There could still be IC incompatibilities that cause issues. You might need to reduce the speed to ensure compatibility. A jump from 32 to 48 is probably not significant right now, so sticking with the 32 GB version seems fine.

I think I'll try the new kit and see how it goes. If anything comes up, just switch to the new one. Appreciate the assistance!
