I recently purchased a gigabyte b550 ds3h motherboard. After powering on the PC, it displays 16GB RAM installed and 8GB available, with hardware reserved at 8GB. I’m using an XMP profile but it isn’t being applied. My RAM is placed in slots A2 and B2. I’ve also tried using msconfig, but no changes occurred. Should I adjust the BIOS settings? If yes, please let me know how to proceed. My motherboard model is Gigabyte B550 ds3h.
Test each stick individually, observe any problems. It might be worth checking, even though it resembles a BIOS or Windows error.
Test each RAM module individually in any slot. If it functions there, proceed to all slots. Swap them across various positions and verify performance. Should issues persist, reinsert the CPU as suggested by another user. If problems continue, your motherboard might be faulty—consider updating the BIOS first.
