1600X 4.15 v1.38
1600X 4.15 v1.38
I wanted to know what people thought
My Ryzen 5 1600X runs at 4.15ghz
My Vcore stands at 1.38
Offset is +0.0125
LLC high
Under heavy load it reaches 1.406
Load temperature (socket) is 55°C
CPU usage stays between 50-51%
Aida64 run time was 1 hour and 35 minutes
Is this suitable for just overclocking?
It seems like you're discussing some performance issues with your 1600X, especially beyond 4GHz. From what I understand, first-gen Ryzens models weren't very stable at higher frequencies. I'm currently using an offset of 1.38 with a 0.00625 margin and an LLC regular amplifier. The Aida64 has been running for over an hour without problems, maintaining a stable temperature around 55°C in a 50-51°C socket.
You did a solid job. You might want to aim for better cooling and a higher-quality power supply unit, board, etc. It seems like you have a good amount of silicon here.

Then you've done pretty well. Could aim for more of the cooling and a quality PSU, board, etc. It seems like a solid piece of silicon.
Just an Asus rog strix b350-f, seasonic focus+ 850w
Those top-tier parts should boost your performance with the silicone.
I believe my 2133mhz g.skill running at 2400mhz at 1.35v might be the reason I'm struggling to go further.
In what manner? You should adjust the RAM to its standard frequency. Once the CPU reaches a steady state, you can experiment with the RAM if desired. However, the improvement from 2133 to 2400 MHz isn't significant enough to be a major concern.
