It offers only a modest performance increase, but you can trade in your 1600 for most of the price of another 1600. That makes it a good choice in that case. If you wanted a bigger boost, the 3600 would be better.

If you're looking to upgrade, I suggest an R5 2600/3600 or an R7 2700/3700. You have the same GPU and RAM as them, and they perform well.

The goal is to sell the motherboard processor in two stages: first by the tomahawk, then later by an AF processor, followed by upgrading both the processor and cooler.
