It should work well with a discrete GPU if you're using one. The main benefit of having it alongside a dedicated GPU comes from troubleshooting.

The iGPU offers only around $20 at most, since you can usually find a used one for display troubleshooting for about $10. The main advantage is avoiding the hassle of swapping your primary GPU for a spare, though this doesn’t always save real time. If you can’t extract images from the motherboard, testing by removing the dGPU helps confirm it’s not being used for graphics. QuickSync is only worthwhile if it helps with specific software; otherwise, an F SKU makes more sense when it could cut costs by over $30.
