I made many attempts but the results were poor. The images remain unclear, and the text stays fuzzy. Adjusting the cleartext type didn’t help much. The scaling isn’t accurate either—raising it to 75% still doesn’t improve quality. I’ve watched numerous videos, yet none helped me. My monitor has a resolution of 3080, which is why I’m testing 1440p first to see how my system performs before purchasing. Upscaling increases CPU usage significantly, so I’m unsure how to achieve that on 1440p.
Ensure you're accessing the Nvidia control panel, navigate to the resolution section, choose your current display settings, scroll down to custom resolution, check the box for allowing resolutions outside your display range, click on 'New Custom Resolution', input 2560x1440, save the changes, and finally pick that resolution.
I attempted once more and encountered an unusual occurrence. The issue is that I don’t have three displays. I only possess a single TV and monitor.
The Legacy Scaling part follows the standard DSR approach. The DL scaling section brings in deep learning techniques like Turing and up (DLSS) for upscaling via AI methods. In essence, if you need to heavily utilize the GPU, opt for the Legacy Scaling section.
It functioned correctly – observe that your main display is now operating at 1440p. The captured image shows it appears larger than the previous versions, instead of being reduced. As @GuiltySpark_ mentioned, if you aim for higher resolution, consider using the older scaling settings. I’m unsure whether this will enhance the visual quality—downscaling text usually doesn’t help. However, testing a game will reveal that 1440p is now available as an option.
I'm not sure about the third monitor. I only have two, and the left one seems to be fake. It's unclear what caused it to happen recently.
