Consider your gaming needs and the RTX 4090 setup. The i9-13900k offers better performance compared to the i7-1300k, especially at higher resolutions. Historically, FPS differences between these generations have been under 5 FPS. Think about factors beyond FPS like low frame rates and stability when choosing your processor.

Choose just the i7 model. The variation between these processors isn't significant for gaming, particularly at higher resolutions. The additional $200 doesn't justify the purchase.

You were expecting a different outcome, yet another person was encouraging you to buy the 13900k while you were torn about your i7-13700k order.

It seems like some folks are pushing you to invest heavily just to feel confident about spending large sums, often without much real need. In reality, the performance gap between a 13.7k and 12.9k chip is usually only a few percent, mainly due to clock speed and cache. A 14k chip will be slightly more efficient but still power-hungry. You're unlikely to use it fully, especially if you're just gaming.
