Could the 13-series fit smoothly on your Z690 board while using DDR4 RAM? I own a TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4.

Only a few understand that Intel hasn't verified anything.

It seems the latest version should fit the older models. Keep an eye on updates, but right now it's uncertain.

Feasible, though not guaranteed.

If they keep doing this, it's hard to believe.

Intel has consistently upgraded every "new" Z-series motherboard for the past decade. It's unlikely they'll halt this trend anytime soon. The main concern is whether the 13th generation will still include a DDR4 memory controller. Previously, Skylake and Kabylake offered both DDR3LP and DDR4 support. Based on current trends, I'd favor the 13th gen working with Z690 boards, covering both DDR4 and DDR5 options. In the worst case, they might limit support to only DDR5 boards.
