12VO Mainboard AM5 model
12VO Mainboard AM5 model
There are very few OEM setups left today, especially around the 12th generation Intel chips. It looks like MSI tried to release an AM5 board in 2023 but didn’t get it out to market. Seems like that’s about it now.
Consider reaching out to MSI via email to inquire about the status of their "MSI PRO B650 12VO WiFi" board. They mentioned it in late '23, but there’s no indication it reached the market. Additionally, the 12VO is impressive, and I’m really hoping it gets accepted into mainstream use.
Even 13th/14th generation Intel chips or the latest Core series boards appear to lack 12-volt compatibility. While a 12-volt setup would be ideal, I believe unless demand increases in OEM circles, it’s likely we’re facing significant challenges or the project is at risk in the near term.
Thank you for the assistance. I managed to locate the MSI board announcement, but then there was a lot of unrelated information afterward.
I only completed Circuits 1 out of three, received a D, and it was more than ten years ago. I thought this question might be pointless, but here’s the thing: Since conductors are measured in amps and insulation in volts, we can quickly determine the maximum wattage for a wire. Copper is costly and tricky to handle, whereas insulation seems inexpensive. Wouldn’t it be better to focus on higher voltages rather than higher currents?
