Laughs in ddr2 2.6v (absolute max safe) I do not regard safe volts as i only use my rule of thumb, if deathzone = 2v, absolute max "safe" = 1.7v, reccomended max safe = 1.6v Oh and i do not baby my hardware as i view babying hardware as wasted performance, i run 1.75v on my e8400 on max fsb runs, too bad my board only does 585 max. Once that damn ud3p is fixed and i get better cooling then sure ill prob daily with upto 1.75v on the cpu if the cooling can handle it Babying hardware abit is def not a bad idea to increase longevity but babying too much = wasted performance, 1.4v is wasted performance, 1.5v is potential wasted performance but still ok ish by my standards, 1.6v is ideal, 1.7v is abit risky In this case since its just 3200 rams ill reccomend 1.6v cause if they degrade theyll get upgraded anyways

On the deathzone I could locate buildzoid only when he was experiencing some team battle losses, running at 1.97v, and in other video clips I’ve seen him mention aiming for more than 2v, suggesting it’s likely higher than just 2v but not necessarily above it. I’d keep deathzone at 2v just to avoid drawing attention from everyone about the voltage levels. I’m okay with higher voltages, so there’s no need to worry about the general recommended safe range. People often give too low numbers, but with newer chips like Intel 14nm it’s around 1.9v, so they’re close to the suggested maximum safe values. They’re usually just a bit lower than what’s actually advised, typically around -0.1v. That’s why I focus on my own guideline instead of following everyone else’s vague numbers.

You're right to consider the limitations of B-Die. It might be better to review the capabilities of the components first before jumping to conclusions. Corsair suggests using 1.4v for safety: https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/articl...ing-memory

It's a bit tricky with memory overclocking, but you're on the right track. 1.4v is not ideal, 1.5v is a good choice, 1.6v carries some risk, 1.7v is more dangerous, just reduce the voltage by about 0.1v and proceed. This should work for most RAM chips.

I’ve explored this subject extensively, asking the same questions myself. The sources I’ve reviewed indicate that beyond benchmarks, exceeding 3200 MHz isn’t really noticeable in everyday situations. In gaming, you might notice slight FPS gains or minor improvements in low-end performance, but nothing major.
