I assembled the computer in May. It functioned properly until the end of August. No problems encountered. The machine was powered off for a week while a ceiling fan light was replaced. I restored the breaker, but it wouldn’t start. I repeated the steps multiple times—code 28, restart, code 28, restart. After persistent effort, it finally booted. I managed to get back into Windows, though performance remained poor. Some applications failed to launch. The system reported a faulty DLL, causing slowdowns and intermittent crashes. I attempted a clean install, but issues persisted. RAM tests on M2 drives showed no problems. Intel diagnostics confirmed the CPU was healthy. AVG performed full, quick, and boot scans without errors. Windows Defender completed its scan as well. The machine froze and restarted several times, pausing for about 20 minutes before shutting down. I have a spare CPU, RAM module, and power supply ready. Tomorrow I’ll receive another Formula 690 MB drive. Once I evaluate the swap, I’ll contact ASUS tech support on Tuesday for advice. Any suggestions?

So I'm investigating the sound more. Service manager host diagnostic policy service goes to 30% when I do something. Here's a onedrive link to a video. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AvsO0rkUe83siJwE5bAqvzoYkAL9Rw After more investigation, I can trigger the sound issue by moving a window around, but the mouse by itself doesn't necessarily make the sound break up. I'm thinking it might be related to powertoys. Getting rid of powertoys made no difference.

I received the new motherboard and swapped it in. The same problems persisted. I removed Realtek drivers and turned off USB audio. A friend recommended this, but it didn’t help. I rolled back my BIOS settings, but that also failed. Upgrading to Windows 11 didn’t resolve the issue. I’m feeling stuck and planning to go to sleep.

I fixed it. The riser cable had CMOS problems because the computer wasn’t on for a week. It shouldn’t have happened. Likely an Asus problem. While disassembling to fix the first issue, I probably damaged the riser cable. The last three prongs were missing. A slight difference in appearance stood out while replacing another power supply. It isn’t visible in the photo. After connecting the GPU directly to the motherboard, the audio problems disappeared.
