Your 3950x is compatible with a rog Ryuo 120mm air cooler, but you might want to verify the heat output and ensure it meets your needs. If you already have a Ryuo unit, using it is ideal. Otherwise, consider checking performance specs before deciding.

120mm AIOs don’t offer much benefit, consider using an air cooler instead. An NH-D14 would fit perfectly.

When you have all the necessary items, the next step is to try it out and check how it works for you.

It might struggle with the heat; many recommend a top-tier 240 or 360 mm system. Alternatively, the BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 is another excellent choice.

I prioritize performance over looks. Would the dark rock pro 4 work? And would it outperform the AIO I own? Also, my setup uses a red and black theme since I have the A1 Christmas edition, which is red instead of the usual black or white.

You already have the 120mm AIO, it should work fine but won’t be outstanding—it might also be quite loud. If you want a cooler, steer clear of the 120mm AIO and opt for a solid air cooler; you don’t need anything overly expensive, even budget options will do.

I also need your PC to operate softly since it will be near your screen.

A Dark Rock 4 should suffice—it wouldn’t block the PSU and would provide sufficient airflow.
