Need help choosing a cooler for your 120mil AIO? It’s overheating and you can’t use an air cooler because of space limits. You’re looking for something suitable for an Alienware setup.

It currently has the following specifications. It overheats under specific environmental conditions. The location is in a particular country. The budget details are available upon request.

it's currently using the Alienware logoed 120mil AIO, but the system slows down after roughly five minutes of operation. when the case is opened, it runs smoothly again. i think better airflow could help, though that isn't feasible in this setup.

The 10700F has a power rating of 65W, so a standard all-in-one cooler should work well as long as it gets enough airflow to the radiator. Are there any space limitations? A 240mm model remains affordable and offers extra room if temperatures rise.

the available space accommodates just a 120, though it might fit a thick radiator, and the country’s budget prefers keeping it below $100 USD

You need to choose more precisely since some Alienware desktops use custom mounting parts. The CPU cooler backplate is integrated into the chassis and isn’t modular, meaning regular coolers may not fit.

Fortunately, this model includes a typical 4-pin fan connector and a 4-pin pump connector, with standard mounting seams as well.

In that situation, I’d avoid 120mm AIOs. I dug into 120mm AIOs and discovered few choices, mostly outdated ones. It looks like they’re no longer common, probably because the situations where a 120mm AIO is needed—like with low-profile Thermalright air coolers or compact tower coolers—are still effective, if not better. Having purchased around half a dozen of these over the years, especially using NZXT Kraken G10 brackets, I still own one Corsair 120mm AIO.

I’d prefer an air cooler, but a compact model won’t work since there’s no space to draw air in.

It seems like you're saying that anything a Dremel can handle is possible.
