Hello there! Everything should function properly now. Just swap in some fresh thermal paste—your 10700K fits LGA 1200 and the 3770K works with LGA 1155. Make sure to remove the old cooler, take off the brackets, and install the new one. Don’t forget to replace the thermal paste using a quality product like Arctic MX-4.
It's actually fine, if you're willing. Just hold on a bit longer and see what Zen 3 brings.
Thanks to everyone for your quick and helpful responses. Regarding the thermal paste, I’ll switch it. For AMD, I’m unsure if it’s the best choice since I worry about potential BIOS and gaming issues, and I prefer something dependable for long gaming sessions after a tiring workday.
Sorry, I'm not very familiar with AMD Gen. Thanks for thinking about it, but I was curious—does the 3700X have any BIOS problems and is it good for gaming? Also, if you own an AMD CPU, do you encounter any issues? I've never used an AMD product before, so I was just checking because some friends had problems with their builds. Thanks, @TofuHaroto
No problems with the bios. It's considered reliable. The performance has improved significantly. Just keep an eye on Zen 3, expected in September.
