10Gig Network Card solution
10Gig Network Card solution
Establishing a link between your router and your mobile device.
What router are you using? Are there any additional 10G devices connected to your local area network? Generally, configuring a 10G for wide area networks isn't practical.
What kind of router do you have? If other devices can't handle 10G, the card will operate at 1G and won't offer any advantage. Once you need 10G, purchase the card then—they'll improve later. Keep in mind that network standards shift often, so avoid investing in a 10G baseT if you don't plan to use it.
I completely understand your point. I only used 10G speeds so that copying between my PC and NAS wouldn’t slow down transfers from the NAS to other devices, or when moving games between my laptop and desktop. There’s no real benefit to future-proofing with 10G—unless you’re replacing the cables, in which case it could save money later.
