It's disappointing these cards are only available in two versions, likely because PCIe 3.0 slots still support full performance. Open-ended x1 slots are also uncommon. I think they should at least offer a half-height bracket and an adapter to fit them into a standard x1 slot. If they're targeting a niche audience, they need to get it right.

I just purchased the Intel X550, but I haven't received it yet. It's an Intel product, so I'm hoping it will function properly once it arrives.

You installed the card and driver, it was detected. When you try to connect with an internet cable, it still shows "not connected." It might not be an issue with Windows 11. Check your connection settings or cables.

Attempt to manage link negotiation directly. Check which devices can communicate. Also find out what the other side intends—are they using SFP+, another copper network, a switch, router, or server?
