Looking for a switch with a mix of 10GbE and Gigabit ports, suitable for a non-rack setup.

Unmanaged options are available at a lower price point, typically in the consumer segment. They usually include 2 to 10 gigabit ports. More ports or higher-end models tend to cost between $5 and $600 or more.

The planned spending is high; 10G isn't cheap, whether using RJ45 or SFP+ and even when purchasing used.

I intend to purchase gradually. I can acquire the switch, suitable NICs, and cables as my income increases. The goal is simply to provide more bandwidth for multiple devices to connect to it. @mynameisjuan Which brand would be better—Netgear or ASUS?

They should function properly with either option. Unmanaged switches are tough to break and won’t fail regardless of the manufacturer.

For a simple flat network setup, these MikroTik switches work well https://mikrotik.com/product/CSS326-24G-2SplusRM

Are you sure your NAS can handle the speed needed for this? Probably not without RAID.

I don't have a specific speed for reading from an array, but I can process and retrieve data efficiently.
