Sure, I understand your setup is a bit outdated. Would it make sense to upgrade from 10GB to 8GB with dual-channel support for better gaming performance?

When using 10gb in single or dual mode, the initial 4gb is handled via dual channel while the rest stays in single channel. For 8gb in dual channel, everything runs in dual mode. Single channel performance may vary based on the workload.

It depends on your specific needs and usage patterns. The dual channel might boost performance noticeably, but if you're content with the 10GB option, it could be sufficient for your requirements.

Are you experiencing low RAM and exceeding 8GB? Then evaluating the RAM layout differences is essential. In every scenario I consider, running 8GB in dual-channel is preferable.
