When using 10gb in single or dual mode, the initial 4gb is handled via dual channel while the rest stays in single channel. For 8gb in dual channel, everything runs in dual mode. Single channel performance may vary based on the workload.

Are you experiencing low RAM and exceeding 8GB? Then evaluating the RAM layout differences is essential. In every scenario I consider, running 8GB in dual-channel is preferable.
