Yes, you can connect a cable using an SFTP+ link. You're unlikely to notice a speed boost unless your network speed exceeds 1 Gbps or you have multiple high-speed devices on your local area network.

Unless your ISP offers more than 1Gbps, switching from a 1Gbit connection to a 10Gbit won’t improve your performance. But if you’re looking to show off, it might make a difference.
