Hello Everyone, I'm only managing to reach up to 600MB/s when moving files between PCs. I've checked everything I know but still can't solve the issue. They connected using a TP-Link TL-SX3008F switch with 10G SFP+ and OM4 fiber. I also attempted to adjust the MTU on each machine, but changing it from 1500 caused performance issues and made copying slower. I ran tests on both drives and think they’re functioning properly.

Testing network performance via file transfers has its limits, especially when aiming for 500MB/sec+ speeds. Hardware may be functioning properly, but achieving such rates between a desktop and laptop on a single SSD is challenging. It’s likely that SMB traffic in Windows 11 is encrypted, restricting speed based on CPU encryption capabilities. To pinpoint the actual bottleneck, check Task Manager on both machines during the transfer—monitor CPU usage per thread and SSD disk activity. Consider using the network test instead of stressing your drives.
